1986 NABBA Mr & Miss Midlands & Oscar Awards - Show

Staged by Jim Charles and held at the Brierley Hill Civic Hall on Saturday, 5th April, 1986 this was a top class British event.

The Oscar Awards was a Pro-Am type class, held in tribute to the NABBA legend, Oscar Heidenstam. It attracted such big USA stars as VINCE TAYLOR and MARLON DARTON plus local star VINCE D'ALESSANDRO and more.

The Marlon Darton photos were taken by Wayne Gallasch in USA, shortly before this contest.

Includes a brief victory speech by the Oscar Awards winner MARLON DARTON.
VINCE D'ALLESANDRO was the Overall Mr Midlands winner.
The Women's Overall winners were JUNE GRIFFITHS and LESLEY WHITEHOUSE.

The star Guest Spot was Helen Taylor and Deena Goodall with their acrobatics act.

All the key comparisons are not to be missed, especially the battle between the top 2 competitors in Lou Barrie and Colin Murphie.
