Post subject: Help with specific chest
PostPosted: Wed Jul 11, 2007 7:58 pm
After reading the below posts about chest excercises, i understand what to do, but my question is this:

Are there certain ways or exercises that work the lower and inner chest? The top of my chest is way more developed than the rest. (More than the 'cleavage' and lower ridge of chest)

What should/can I do?

Inner chest - narrow grip bench presses (full extention), nautilus machine flyes.
Lower chest - Declined presses, flyes, cable crossovers, weighted dips between parallel bars.

Superset: Weighted dips + Cable crossovers works fine

Weighted dips between parallel bars - 1 set - warming up as much reps as you can. 2 set - ad a little plate and do again as much as you can.
Then add a weight that you can do 6-8 reps with and do 5 full sets.

Regular bench press - (obviously you will not take a weight you use regularly after that first exercise, so take lighter weight to complete 8-10 fully controlled reps) 3 sets x 8-10 reps

Narrow grip bench press - try to switch on your chest muscles instead of triceps, especially at the top. 3 sets of 10 reps.

Dumbbell flyes - 2 sets x 8 reps

Cable crossovers - 2 sets x 12 reps
