How to Qualify for the Mr. Olympia
1. The top 6 finalists from the previous
year's Mr. Olympia.
2. The top 5 finalists from the
same year's Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic and Night of the Champions.
3. The top 3 finalists from any
Grand Prix or other professional bodybuilding competition held subsequent
to the previous year's Mr. Olympia.
4. The overall winner from the
same year's Masters Olympia.
5. Any former Mr. Olympia winner has a lifetime eligibility.
6. The Organizer may, with the
approval of the Pro Committee, extend one "special invitation" to an athlete
who has not qualified in accordance with the above criteria.
Additional Factors
1. Where warranted, the IFBB has
discretion to increase the number of qualifying competitors from any professional
bodybuilding competition.
How to Qualify for the Ms. Olympia
1. The top 3 finalists in each weight
class from the previous year's Ms. Olympia.
2. The top 2 finalists in each
weight class from the same year's Ms. International.
3. The winner in each weight class
from any other professional bodybuilding competition held subsequent to
the previous year's Ms. Olympia.
4. Any former Ms. Olympia winner
has a lifetime eligibility.
5. The Organizer may, with the
approval of the Pro Committee, extend one "special invitation" to an athlete
who has not qualified in accordance with the above criteria.
Additional Factors
1. At events where only the weight
class winner qualifies, if the athlete is already qualified, the 2nd place
finalist will also qualify. provided she is not already qualified, in which
case, no further athletes will qualify.
2. At events where the top 2 finalists
in each weight class qualify, if the athletes are already qualified, the
3rd place finalist will also qualify. provided she is not already qualified,
in which case, no further athletes will qualify.
